My first ride out on an ambulance when attending EMR class was with Bob.  We each had a patient to look after.  The trek to the hospital was comparable to being on a small boat in rough seas as we swerved, sped up, slowed down, and bounced around.  Bob was calm speaking, throughout, despite the frustrations of working under the conditions.  His presentations at the conferences in Eureka Springs were always insightful and encouraging. Thank you, Bob!
I will always remember lessons learned from Bob in ACLS. Great teacher, he will be missed.
I worked part time at ESFD with Bob in the 90s and early 2000s. He was great to work with. We made ambulance calls together. He was always sharing his knowledge. We fought a few fires together also. It was an honor and a privilege to work with him and to know him. My best memory of Bob was at an EMS conference in Hot Springs, sitting around a table with him, Paula and other responders telling stories. I still laugh at Bob’s when I think back. He was a leader, an instructor , a Paramedic/ Firefighter and a wonderful man.
Bob was one of the kindest men I have known, and his pleasurable demeanor and knowledge will be missed throughout the community and the profession of the fire service.
