Robert's obituary
Robert Perry Turner Sr., 62, of Richmond, Texas, peacefully passed away on August 23, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with kidney disease.
Born on August 10, 1963, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert was one of six children (Robin, Terrance, Regina, Kyle, and Minnie) of the late Patricia Lee Turner. He was lovingly raised and educated by his grandmother, the late Marjorie Lee Turner.
From 1986 to 1991, Robert proudly served his country in the United States Military, where he fought in the Desert Storm War. In 1993, he met the love of his life, April Brown, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. On February 27, 1997, their journey began, and they went on to raise five children: Leonard Turner, Allen Turner, Tierra Brown, Jasmine Turner, and Robert Perry Turner Jr.
Robert wore many hats throughout his life. His love for music began as a child and blossomed into a passion. He founded Showtime Productions, becoming a well-known DJ throughout Philadelphia. He also worked for PECO Energy, in the automotive field, and in home renovations. Robert embodied the true meaning of a go-getter, always working hard to provide for his family.
Beyond his work, Robert had a heart of gold. He was known for taking care of others, whether family, friends, or anyone in need. He loved fishing, cooking, football, and cheering for his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Most of all, he loved bringing joy to those around him. To know Robert was to know laughter, kindness, and unwavering generosity. He had a gift for lifting spirits and making others feel loved.
Robert will be remembered as one of a kind, a devoted husband, a father, a brother, a veteran, and a friend. His legacy of love, strength, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
