There will be a reception following the service at the fellowship hall. His love for music, singing in the choir, playing in the bell choir, playing various flutes and his sax for special music, will echo within the sanctuary, reminding us of the joy he found in every note.
Bob's wit, kindness, and commitment defined him as a person. His perseverance through life's trials taught us lessons of strength and resilience. His hobbies revealed a man who loved complexity and simplicity in equal measure, from playing mahjong and Black Box to piecing together puzzles. He was often seen cycling or walking his faithful companion, Pepper, in the neighborhood or at his favorite local spot, Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
A lover of Chicago Dogs and Diet Coke, Bob was a man of simple pleasures. He appreciated good, clean Christian movies and loved Christmas movies. He found solace in the pages of The Holy Bible. His favorite vacation spots were anywhere he could drive to.
Bob's passion for his church and performing music was an essential part of his identity. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and commitment will be remembered by all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and music, and his loss will be profoundly felt by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We will remember him. His absence is a void that cannot be filled, but his love, his music, and his Spirit live on in our hearts. Bob is deeply missed.
