Personal note from Roberts Family

"Dads last night " From his Son Matthew Passolt visited 1-28-2020 approximately 7pm
Hi Dad we miss you so much I don’t know how we will get along without you, You could fix anything you had everything in the garage needed to fix a broken board put decks on your sons homes or anyone that needed help, and any tool needed. You were not only helping building things but always being there to help whoever the best way to handle anything going on in our lives. I sit here in my house and miss you and Mom down the block and walking into your house and see you and Mom in your favorite rooms in the house you in the den with your coffee and Moms in her the family room, when any of us walk in you say” Hey you’re here” I was just on a trip I saw a lot of kids with their Dad some saying Dad look at me, and Dads catching their kids jumping in the pool to him and feel safe knowing their Dad was there to catch them. Dad thanks for catching us building a swimming raft at cabin for all to jump and swim off and some of the older brothers connected our little outboard motor to the ladder to go fishing off the swimming raft. So many more memories to share, Dad I’ll always remember being there to see you Tuesday night and you said to me your tired not to wake you up “I’m sorry I’m so tired” you said I got Mom on phone you perked up when you heard her voice you told her you love her you told me you love me you loved all of us I stayed a bit longer I said see you tomorrow Wednesday you said ok. Mom called all of us early Wednesday morning to tell us you had passed away we got there to be by your side to cry hug you sing songs and pray by you at your bedside and tell you how much we love you. I know that your jumping off that swim raft up at the cabin or you’re bringing that big heavy concrete block down to lake on your shoulder to use as the anchor for the raft. Than after all that sitting by the fire with all of us telling story’s and cooking dinner on the camp fire with the help from Mom, Baked potatoes in tin foil in the coals of the fire with some steaks and hotdogs on grill you got at Red Owl with the Red Owl Brimfull Pop. Oh what memories Dad Love you. So many more story’s about you Dad and our lives in the coming months and for the rest of our lives. Love you Dad, we all miss you so much. Matt
