Robert “Rob” Marquis Murray, 64, passed away on November 11, 2022. Rob was born on October 09, 1958, in Albuquerque New Mexico. He is survived by , his significant other Kathie McDaniels , his parents, Mother Laurel Powell, Father Robert (Patricia) Murray, his children Son Kevin Murray, Daughter Alisa (Adam) Stanley, Son Lee Lay, his siblings , Brother Rick Murray (Anessa Alderman), Sister Jennifer (Randy) Bernardi, his 8 grandchildren Jordan , Melissa, Fiona, Michael, Ellayna, Elizibeth, Hailey and Lexie whom Rob adored and loved very much along with many nieces, nephews, countless friends and his fur babies.

Rob was preceded in death by his grandmothers Josephine Wilch, and Betty Bencsics, Grandfathers, Laurance Denning Wilch, Jo Bencsics, and Robert Murray Senior, Aunt Marilynn Tabor, and Stepfather Bob Powell

Rob was loved by many friends and family members. He entered the US Navy as a senior in High School in 1976, he served as a Sonar tech for US submarines until 1981, in which he was honorably discharged. He spent a few years working at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Then decided to travel working with Barnum and Bailey Circus caring for the elephants. He then spent the next several years working many jobs where he climbed and built Cell towers, he managed a hardware store, worked for family business Slug-a-bug pest control, he worked for Rio Rancho public schools. He finished working when he was head of maintenance for La Quinta hotels retiring in 2018. Rob had many passions most notable is his love for horse racing which he enjoyed with his stepfather Bob Powell.
