Greg's obituary

Robert Gregory “Greg” Mullis, 55, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away on August 19, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1970, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Greg was a cherished member of Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served in youth ministry, and a proud graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University. He spent most of his life working as a salesman, a career in which he was highly successful thanks to his gift of gab. Greg never met a stranger—he could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and leave them laughing before they parted ways.

He was silly, loud, sometimes a little inappropriate, but always unapologetically himself. He loved deeply—his kids, his parents, his grandbabies, and his friends. And he was so, so loved in return.

Greg was also known for his love of fishing, golfing, and grilling, but most of all for his quick wit and gift of laughter. He had an unmatched ability to turn any moment into one of joy, always finding a way to make things fun for the people around him.

He is survived by his parents, Anita and William Mullis of Nashville, TN; his daughter Molly Mullis and her children, Skylar Wolfe and Harper LeCuyer, of Smyrna, TN; his son Luke Mullis of Campbellsville, KY; and his daughters Lexie Mullis and Emmie Mullis of Murfreesboro, TN. He is also survived by his cousin Travis Earls and family of Atlanta, GA, and his very best friend, Buster Bowles and family of Smyrna, TN.

Greg’s life was a testament to love, humor, and generosity of spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with the day, time, and location to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee Recovery Foundation. Greg fought a long, hard fight, and as his family, we hope fewer families will have to know the pain of losing someone they love to this battle.
