Bob's obituary

ROBERT "BOB" MORGOCH

July 9, 1953 – October 28, 2025

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, our world became so much smaller as our family lost the most amazing husband, father, and papa, Robert Gerald Morgoch. He fought so hard to stay with us but after a brief illness, and as we held him close, he peacefully had to bid us goodbye.

Missing him forever will be his wife of 44 years and true love for 49, Charlotte Anne (Shari) Morgoch (nee Griffin); his devoted children, Evan Morgoch (Laura Simmons), Melissa Gillard (John), Dana Morgoch (Melissa), who all made him so proud; and his cherished grandchildren John Gillard (JohnJohn) and Maeve Morgoch.

He is survived by his sister Lillian Malm (Gus), brother-in-law Phillip Bugbee, nieces and nephews Angie Morgoch, Cheri Bugbee MacPhail (Dan), Darryl Bugbee, Jeffrey Malm (Joanna), Jeannine Malm Russon (Rick)

Predeceased by his parents Mary Morgoch (Caruk) and George Morgoch, his sister Dianne Bugbee, brother David Morgoch, nephew Daniel Morgoch and sister-in-law Susan Morgoch.

For all of his 72 years, Bob was a devoted family man, a friend to all, seeker of knowledge, exceptional teacher, lover of stories and fixer/perfector of all things he touched.

A private gathering of family will be held on the afternoon of Sunday November 2nd, prior to his cremation in Barrie Ontario.

A gathering of friends and family who wish to celebrate the life of this remarkable man will be held on May 2, 2026 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the Mississauga Canoe Club.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Farley Foundation or charity in support of Ukrainian refugees such as UCSS of Canada would be welcome. More precious to us would be your stories of Bob that we can assemble as a remembrance for his grandchildren.
