Bob's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Mario Gutierrez, age 67, of Nashville, Tennessee, a cherished father, brother, and friend, on November 2, 2025.

Born on September 26, 1958 in Germany and adopted by Hector & Muriel Gutierrez, Bob's life was characterized by his warm, funny, and caring personality, always set to fill the room with laughter. His big heart touched all those he encountered.

Bob grew up in Orlando, FL where he met his future wife, Nancy Milnes, after high school. He moved to Gainesville, FL and Melbourne, FL in the 80s, then Suwanee, GA in 1992, and later to Nashville, TN in 2017, creating fond memories in each city.

He spent his career in Cardiac Ultrasound with numerous companies and hospitals, including Acuson, Siemens, GE Healthcare, Phillips, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was admired for his dedication to his craft and his colleagues.

An ardent fan of 'Big Bang Theory', 'Seinfeld', and 'Looney Tunes', he also enjoyed movies like 'The Music Man', 'West Side Story', and 'Christmas Vacation'. Robert was an enthusiastic supporter of the Florida Gators always sporting the Orange & Blue on his clothing, vehicles, and throughout his home

He was very active for many years playing ALTA tennis, fastidiously tending to his lawn, cycling, and going to the gym. He loved vacationing on Ossipee Lake in Freedom, NH, and was a big fan of live music, including the Nashville Symphony.

Bob is survived by his son, Garreth Gutierrez, his brother, Floyd Gutierrez, his sister, Michelle Gutierrez, and many nieces and nephews . He was predeceased by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association (https://everloved.com/life-of…)

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
