Ed's obituary

Robert or Ed as he was known was born August 13, 1947 in New Orleans to Thyra Valerie Schaff and James Obid Magee.

Ed served in the Y.M.B.C in Lake Charles ,LA as president and coordinated many air shows at Chennault airfield. That is where he met his future wife Anna Mae Cormier. Later Ed found his true talents as a salesman for Southland Container . He was a natural salesman and could literally sell you the shoes off your own feet. He would remember birthdays and anniversary’s and many small details of his customers that made them feel special, and he did this in all areas of his life.

As a father he is irreplaceable. He was a great teacher, listener, disciplinarian. He was always patient and loving but not afraid to correct you when you were in the wrong. Anytime any of us needed him he stopped what he was doing to help. As a grandfather though, his love had no bounds. His grandkids meant the world to him and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In his later years Ed enjoyed hunting and the work that came with his hunting camp.

You could always find him there working on food plots, helping his fellow camp

members or taking his grandchildren around for rides and exploring. The world will be a slightly smaller place without his toothy smile, larger than life personality and ability to fill a room with his presence.

He is survived by his wife Anna Mae Cormier Magee, His three son’s Travis Edward Magee, (wife) Destiny Abshire magee, (grandchildren) Cory and Kailyn magee, Kelly Christopher Magee , (wife) Xiaomei Liu Magee, grandchildren Daniel and Lillian Magee and Aaron Lee Magee.

In Lieu of flowers we ask you to donate any amount to a cancer charity of your choice in his name.
