Robert Peter Luley, 66, passed away on May 14, 2022 in his home in Spring, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Joan Luley; his brothers, Richard Luley and Peter Luley; his daughters, Elizabeth Weltzin, Sara Jane Baublitz, and Jennifer Luley; his former wife, Laurie K. Stevens and their grandchildren, Charlotte Kidder, Everett Weltzin, Rosalie Baublitz, Nora Weltzin, and Charles Baublitz; his step-children, Eric Roff, Lindsey Stapleton, Timothy Campbell, and Lea Campbell; and his step-grandchildren, Luke Stapleton, Kyle Stapleton, Kyrie Roff, and Jake Stapleton.

Robert was born in 1955 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Robert and Esther Luley. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1973 and went on to obtain his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 1977. His career spanned the transportation and aerospace sectors, including roles in engineering, marketing, and project management. Some of his passions included travel and participating in the musical ministries of the various Lutheran churches of which he was a member.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 at Kingwood United Methodist Church.
