Mr. Robert “Bob” James Luckett, of Youngsville, NC, born on April 26, 1938 in Canton, Mississippi, to the late Viola Susan Luckett and the late Robert Emmett Luckett, passed away at age 80 on May 8, 2018 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Robert served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1963 and he also worked in the Communications industry as an installer v at Lucent Technologies until he retired in 2002. Robert was married to Sarah Swain Luckett. He was preceded in death by his sons, Charles Eric Luckett and Richard Porter Luckett; brother, Billy Luckett; and sisters, Katie Johnston and Sandra Luckett. Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Jonathan Luckett, Michael William Luckett, Jason Alexander Luckett (Ashley), and David Cleveland Luckett; daughter, Serena Mary Westra (Todd); brother, Michael Luckett; and grandchildren, Andrew Jakubiak, Samantha Westra, Alex Luckett, Shane Luckett, and family friend Kimberlea Graham. Robert had a passion for fishing and computers. Our loving memories of Bob will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He is greatly missed. Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Father Jim Magee, on Tuesday, May 15 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at St. Catherine’s of Siena, 520 W Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, North Carolina, 27587.
