Robert H. Litvak passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 after a battle with neuroendocrine cancer.  He was surrounded in his final days with love and humor by his sister, Laurie Granger, brother Steven Litvak and friends Julia Montgomery, Richard Plombon, Jay Heath and Jeffrey Norman.  Before moving to Palm Springs, California where he found a special tribe of friends who adored him, Robert was Head of Talent & Casting for Microsoft Media Group and a Casting Director in Los Angeles and New York, working extensively in television, film, theater and animation with top producers, writers, directors and network executives.  He also served as Communications Manager for Columbia University.

Robert attended Livingston, New Jersey High School, Northwestern University and held a BS in Communications from Syracuse University.  He was recognized three times as a Microsoft Top Performer and was nominated for an Artios Award for Outstanding Casting in a Miniseries for his work on Sinatra. 

Robert's original hometown was Livingston, New Jersey.  He also lived in Kirkland, WA, New York, NY, Minneapolis, MN and Walnut Creek, CA.

He performed in many plays and musicals while in middle and high school and later sang with the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus and Modern Men in Palm Springs.

In one of the early tributes following his passing, a friend said "Some people, just grab your heart and make you fall in love with them, and that was Robert Litvak.  Heaven just got an amazing angel." 

He was an extraordinary friend to those who loved him.  Funny, fast-witted and fierce.  He loved nothing more than going down a YouTube rabbit hole or ranting on Twitter.  He deserved a much longer life and we are all diminished that he was robbed from that.

He will live in the hearts of all who loved him forever.
