He was a charming, humorous, very witty and beautiful friend whose kind heart kept me going during some of my darkest hours. His compassion and good  will shall never be forgotten and I will miss him dearly.

We shared school and camp days on stage and in the sun...

My condolences to Robert's family. I first met Robert after he allowed my parter to come over for some food and to clean up, at the time we were homeless and I was in washington for thanksgiving with my family. I met him upon my return, he was always much closer to my partner Lee than myself but always treated me well and with respect. We would stay at his place a few more times before getting our own Apartment. He was a great guy and words can not express the gratitude felt when he would open his door to us on those cold nights or 120 degree days. He used to have this fabulous pink infinity mirror in his guest bathroom that he later removed. We laughed about it later. My condolences go out to those he left behind and I hope Spud is doing okay.

So very sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. We were part of the first “cluster” as we were called, of theatre majors at Northwestern in the Fall of 1978. He transferred after our Freshman year but kept in touch with many of us. I’m so happy I was able to see him (briefly!) at Richard’s wedding. He was a good soul and I will miss him.

My condolences to Rob's siblings and also to the many people who loved him.  I met Rob in Seattle in the late 90s and fell head over heals for him instantly.  He was such a fun guy and a really great friend to have. I'll never forget the time we went to see the Seattle Mariners play...so out of the normal for us but we had so much fun. I'm heart broken to hear he passed so quickly as we had made plans for me to visit just weeks before. I will always cherish Rob and he will forever remain in my heart.❤️💜🤍💙💚

I am so terribly saddened by Bobby’s passing, feeing shock and heartache in the wake of his tragic battle with cancer. I so enjoyed speaking with him in the past few months, such a unique treasure. He, of course, was funny and strong. Please know you all are in my thoughts while I hold his memory close.

With sympathy and love,

Elizabeth

Bobby was such an important part of my childhood. He was my first kiss  (at the Kiwanis Carnival in 5th grade).  Bobby was a lot of fun and I know he will be missed Laurie and Steven I am so sorry for your loss.  Leslie Yalof Tenzer

Jonathan andI are so broken up about Bobby’s passing. We send our heartfelt condolences.
I met Bobby in High School while we were both working as Vacation Relief summer interns for ABC. We went to Syracuse together and Bobby was integral in introducing me to my husband Jonathan.
Whenever visiting Palm Springs ( we eventually moved to LA four years ago), we always saw Bobby and Spud.
Jonathan and Bobby would often play Oculus ping pong long distance for hours.
We are grateful for his friendship and love and we will sorely miss him.

We are so sorry to hear about Robert's passing and find it unbelievable that we will not be able to enjoy his sarcastic wit and big heart. So relieved that Spud has found a loving home. We are sending our most sincere condolences to his friends and family. Robert lived a life worth celebrating, and we were lucky to know him.
