Robert Leslie Hanson, 66, of Green Valley, Arizona, passed away on October 5, 2024.

Robert was born on August 5, 1958 to Zobeda and Ronald Hanson at Hamilton AFB, California. As Robert’s father was a pilot in the Air Force, he went to schools around the globe. He was especially fond of his time spent in Germany. He graduated from Beaverton High School in Oregon where he ran for the cross country team, and went on to study Electrical Engineering with Computer Design at Oregon State University.

After graduating with his Bachelor’s degree, he moved to Florida to work as an engineer at Martin Marietta. He eventually began work at John Fluke Manufacturing, during which time he earned a Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. He then held a long career as a Sales Engineer in electrical test equipment.

Robert was an avid runner and cyclist. He finished a marathon in under three hours and completed a week-long Cycle Oregon event. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many things like Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Ping Pong and Bowling.

Robert met his first wife, Adella, in Florida, and they had two children, Ronald Taylor Hanson and Chessa Jordan Hanson.

Robert is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Janise Wheeler, his children, his grandson, Gryffin, his siblings, Vickie, Bill, Roger and Shawn as well as his nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a man who believed anything is possible and by his children as a daddy who was always ready to laugh and play.
