Robert (“Bob”) Arthur Kurtz died on February 16, 2023 of a rare form of cancer. Born on Feb 25, 1943 to Olive and Arthur Kurtz, Bob was a native Rochesterian and never lived anywhere else but! He graduated from Brighton High School in 1962 and became employed by Monroe County Water Authority, while taking classes at Rochester Business Institute (RBI). He owned various business establishments, to include the Cobber Lounge and the Hampshire House Restaurant. Thereafter, Bob worked as a bartender and book keeper for Grinnell’s Restaurant for over 20+ years. His final years of working were for the House of Bacchus Wine & Spirits before retiring in 2018. He spent his final few years living with his son, attending to his yard/garden in the sun, and immersed in his love of sports. He is survived by his three wonderful children- Laurie Fortin, Bob Long (Kurtz), and Kim Bongianni; his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and John Mazor; niece and nephew, Jack and Debbie; and grandchildren- Kyliah, Andrew, Aaron, Alex and Julia.
