Robert Cyril Koptik, 93, of Naperville, IL, passed away on January 15, 2021.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22, at the First United Methodist Church on Maple Ave in Downers Grove, IL.

Robert was born in Cicero, IL to Dr. George Sr and Camilla (Maccani) Koptik on December 11, 1928. He attended both Western Illinois and University of Illinois where he received his BS RPh in 1951. He married Ulla Andersson in 1954 in Chicago, IL. He worked as a pharmacist for several area pharmacies, including his own, until his retirement in 1998. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was primarily stationed in Germany. After divorce, Robert married Judy Loerch in 1974. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, feeding the birds, trains, his cottage in Door County, WI, and putzing around the house.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother Dr. George Jr and first wife Ulla.

Robert is survived by his second wife Judy, son Peter (Melanie), son Stephan, son David (Mari Beth), and daughter Cami (Andy) as well as grandchildren Rachael, Max, Elizabeth, Grace, and Charlie, and great grandchildren Camden and Cleo.

Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity (1600 Roosevelt Rd Wheaton, IL) or the ASPCA (1901 Ogden Ave Downers Grove, IL).

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to those that touched Robert during his life and cared for him during his final years.
