Robert's obituary
Bob was known for a wry smile, an infectious laugh, a kind nature, and his interest in the stock market & Gonzaga basketball. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader of mystery and espionage novels.
He was born June 9, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The son of Carl A Kohne and Magdalen Kohne-Hoffelder, Bob graduated from Central Catholic High School and Acme Technical School.
Bob worked in various engineering and program management positions for Inland Fisher Guide (Guide Lamp) in Anderson, Indiana, for 35 years. He was also involved in the community, serving as Commissioner of the Pendleton Baseball Association from 1973-1980. Bob worked for six years as Chief Engineer of Federal-Mogul in Norfolk, Virginia, retiring in 2006.
Residents of Olde Hickory Country Club in Fort Myers, Bob and BeeJ enjoyed an active social life. Bob held various board positions and helped design the renovation of the clubhouse.
In addition to his loving wife BeeJ, Bob is survived by his sons Todd, Timothy (Dennis) and Steven (Karyn) Kohne, his stepchildren Robbin (Jeff) Miller and Eric (Gema) Thrasher, ten grandchildren, and his brothers Michael, William, and Christopher. He was predeceased by his brother Mark and his sister Mary Lou Pruden.
