It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Thumbz" Kleinschmidt, who left us far too soon on June 11, 2023. Born on May 14, 1985, Robert was known by many as Thumbz, a nickname that spoke to his unique charm but he preferred his given name, Robert. He will be fondly remembered for his caring nature, his humor, and his down-to-earth disposition.

Robert's greatest accomplishment and the cause he cared most deeply about were his children. He is survived by his wife Lucy Kleinschmidt, and their daughter Amara, son Hayden, and daughter Raya Kleinschmidt. In Robert, they had a father who was engaged, loving, and always ready to help in any way. He took great joy in family time, spent fishing or simply being together.

His legacy is one of kindness and unforgettable memories shared with friends and family from good times that will continue to be cherished. Robert loved cooking, and sharing his recipes with friends and family. His joy in life was unmistakable, and his helpful nature was evident to all who met him. The best lesson he had to share was to live life to the fullest and always help others.

Robert found pleasure in simple things. His grandparents, Jean and Bob Monti, predeceased him, but their love and values live on in him. His absence will be deeply felt, particularly by his children for whom he was a constant source of love and strength.

We invite all who knew and loved Robert to remember and celebrate his life. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of many, especially his children.
