Robert's obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Robert Kessinger III, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert was born on March 20, 1995, and passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2024.

Robert is survived by his loving mother, Suzanne Sowers, and his caring father, Jason Waters. His resilient spirit lives on through his devoted spouse, Areil Kessinger, and their four beautiful children, RJ, Laina, Amara, and Athena Kessinger. His memory will forever be cherished by his brothers; Chadwick Sweet Jr, Dakota Sweet, Brennan Waters, Keegan Konkle, and Josef Konkle and Damon Waters. His grandparents, Kathy Felger, Roger Felger, Rose Kessinger, and Eugene Bartlett Jr, Betty & Dennis Sowers all mourn his untimely departure. His step-father, Jason Sowers, and his step-mother, Sarah Waters, also survive him. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Violet Kessinger and Robert Kessinger Sr.

Robert was known for his charming and charismatic personality, often described as funny and stubborn. He had a passion for jelly roll, Korn, and ICP. He found joy in tattoo art and was an avid fan of Nascars. He found solace in video games, often playing them with his brothers. Robert's favorite recreational activity was fishing and he used to enjoy vacationing at his favorite fishing spots. His love for fishing even stretched to his favorite local spots which were 'Anywhere the fish were biting.'.

Robert was incredibly dedicated to his wife and children which was the cause closest to his heart. He always encouraged others to live each day to the fullest, a lesson he himself practiced religiously. His greatest accomplishments were being a loving husband and a dedicated father to his four children. His legacy is a powerful reminder to never take everyday for granted, to always say 'I love you' and that it’s never 'Goodbye, but see you later.'

His favorite color, purple, is a testament to Robert's unique personality and his beloved memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He was deeply loved and his absence will be profoundly felt by his family and friends. “Ricky Bobby Forever 29”
