Bob's obituary

On the 28th of September 1937 Bob was born in Moncton New Brunswick, Canada. He was the first of three sons born to Mae and Kent Randall. They called him Bobby. After graduating from Moncton Public High School, Bob attended Norton Academy in Nova Scotia. After one year at Norton, he decided to get a job and start a career. He always had that fire in his belly to make money. From the time he was just a little kid, Bob worked on his Uncle Walter’s farm. He worked hard and saved his money until he was old enough to drive. He made his first down payment on a car which was a Porsche. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. His strong work ethic launched his career in banking with the Bank of Nova Scotia and by the time he was in his mid twenties, Bob was granted a transfer to Scotiabank in the Bahamas.

He met his wife-to-be in 1963 in Nassau, Bahamas and one year later Bob and Judy were married and began their journey of marriage for 58 years. Twenty-six of those years he and Judy raised two sons, Robbie and Rickie, in the splendor of the lifestyle in the Bahamas. A tight family was his passion and he worked hard at his job, climbing the corporate ladder of success to provide for his family. That very strong work ethic never vanished from him in whatever job he held. He most recently worked with Home Depot for close to 20 years and was loved and respected by his coworkers. He worked full time at Home Depot even at the age of 85 up until he had to take a leave of absence for his illness.

He was eternally proud of Robbie, Rickie, and Judy and always tried his best to support them. Whether it be their time in boarding school or college, he did what was needed to support their success. Bob was also passionate about boating, fishing, and had a great love of birds and gardening.

Bob was predeceased by his father Kent and mother Mae. He is survived by his wife Judy, sons Robbie and Rickie, his grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, Gavin and Ella and Daughter-in-law Betty, his two brothers David, George and David’s wife Shirley along with many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society or The PTSD Foundation of America. Links can be found on this memorial site. There will be a service followed by a gathering to celebrate the life of Bob Randall at St Gregory Church in Boca Raton, Florida. Please see the Events Section of this site for details.
