Robert Douglas Jewel was born in Denville, New Jersey, 11 Oct 1966, while
we lived in Parsippany, New Jersey. Rob was the first son and second child
born to Nancy Lynne and Martin Douglas Jewel. Rob lived in New Jersey,
Michigan, Louisiana and Arizona. In 1969 the whole family joined the
Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints while we lived in New Jersey.
Rob passed away on 6 Jan 2019, at the age of 52. Rob is survived by his
dad, Marty, his 3 siblings, Barbara Lynne (Jim) Goulding, Linda Lee (Bruce)
Borden and James Martin Jewel (Lindy). He is also survived by his uncle,
Murray Douglas (Lynn) Beckford of Wisconsin, his aunt, Jane Rothenberg
(Ken) Jewel of New Jersey, and 10 nieces and nephews. In addition, his
uncle has 2 sons (Charles and Kenneth Beckford) and his aunt also has 2
sons (Andrew and Daniel Jewel). His uncle, Dr. Kenneth Jewel passed away
on 13 April 2020. He was a well-known radiologist in New Jersey.
Rob enjoyed programming, drawing, reading, hugging, model building, doing Family History, solving crossword puzzles,
listening to music, and discussing a variety of topics from the Scriptures and
the Gospel to science.
