Robert's obituary
Robert Van Jagoe Jr, 38, of Northport AL, passed away surrounded by his family in Sugarland, TX on January 27, 2023 after a 9 year battle with cancer. He was a strong fighter with amazing doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He always persevered through medical challenges with joy in order to have as much time with his family as possible. He was a doting husband, loving father, and devoted son. Bobby was also a good and faithful servant who sought to share God's light and to be a blessing to everyone he encountered. He always said goodbye to everyone with "I Love You!"
Bobby was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School c/o 2002 and the University of West Florida c/o 2012 where he earned a degree in Social Work. He held a dedicated career of service to others as a Juvenile Detention Officer, Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, and Realtor.
He found joy in fishing, gardening, grilling, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Bobby was a lifelong lover of music and was a member of Tuscaloosa County High's symphonic, jazz, and marching bands; Alabama All State Jazz Band; Shelton State Community College Jazz Band; Auburn University's Pep and Marching Bands; and the University of Alabama's Pep and Marching Bands.
He is survived by his wife Staci, sons Avram and Nathaniel, mother Deborah Ramage Palmer (Phil Palmer), father Robert Van Jagoe Sr, and a multitude of extended family and friends. A Public Celebration of Life will be held at Saint Mark Church, Northport AL on February 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
