Irvin, Robert B

Robert B Irvin, 56, of Bakersfield, CA passed away unexpectedly and was found in his home on April 26, 2023.

Robert was born on June 6, 1966 to Robert Irvin and Bonnie (Tumlinson) Ollilah in Anaheim, CA where he spent the first months of his life. The family then moved to Spokane, WA where he grew up and attended school. Robert graduated from John R. Rogers High School in 1984. He then went on to work in various Equipment Operations, Commercial Driving and public works jobs in the Bishop, CA and Bakersfield, CA area.

Robert married in 1996 and went on to have two children, Jeremy Robert and Brenden Nicholas, whom were the highlights of his life. He was often heard talking about son, Brenden, and could not have been a prouder father.

Robert was truly loved by all who knew him and was a best friend to all. He was the “Favorite Uncle” and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews (blood related or not). His passions were BMX bikes, motocross and the 49ers. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family.

Robert was preceded in death by son Jeremy Robert Irvin; father Robert Irvin; stepmom Donna Irvin and stepdad Rudy Ollilah. He is survived by son Brenden Irvin; mother Bonnie Ollilah; siblings Richard (Sha) Irvin, Patti (Michael) Music, Dirk (Erin) Irvin; two stepbrothers Rob Stack & Scott Stack and many nieces & nephews.

Services will be held at Rubio’s Funeral Home, 1100 Chester Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301 on May, 16, 2023 with a viewing from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (first hour reserved for family) and the Memorial Service immediately following at 7:00 pm.
