BOB WAS A GOOD MAN! I have a lot of good memories of Bob. Molly and Matt... I'm sorry Bob died. Please don't forget... BOB WAS A GOOD MAN!
Received one of bobs books from Joanne,  thank you sir for the memories.  We had a few classes together back at old tech.  God has gained another angel.
So sad to lose a longtime friend - - Many days were spent playing in the sandbox with Bob and the neighborhood gang ( Butch Guggenburger, Jim Vogt, Tony ( Bob's brother). If not the sand box it was "Cops 'n Robbers or "Cowboys 'n Indians"  using "Cap" guns. Those are memories I will cherish with Bob  - a real friend, part of the Waite Park neighbor hood "gang" - - Rest eternally Bob.

I believe it was 2017 at our class of 1967 reunion you were kind enough to gift me a signed copy of your book "China Beach" and I thank you.

My husband is not a person who reads books often. Every winter since the fall of 2017 I have set your book on his table to peruse.

I have been dedicated to this task. Hubs was unable to serve due to a metal plate in his leg. So many of our friends served during the Viet Nam conflict/war.

This was the winter he finally picked your book to review/read!

He was so impressed. The book is now on its 3rd loan out. With strict instructions that is a signed copy and must be returned to Jo Ann(me).

Some things just simply take time and if it is important, you wait out the time it takes.

At one time I also had another book you compiled which I gave to classmate who served.

China Beach book has a few more friends of ours to reach.

I did not know you in high school but through reunions we became friends. I am so happy we finally met.

I thank for your service in Viet Nam, I thank you for ongoing service to all Viet Nam vets. Taking care of Military Cemetary's every summer for years, spreading the story of your service and continued support.

It pleases me. to follow you on Facebook through the adventures of gold mining, your new abode and Rocco.

You are a person that should be in the Tech Hall of Fame.

Blessings my friend and thank you!

Jo Ann Heuerman Nystrom, St. Cloud Tech class of 1967
