On October 18, 1958, Bobby was baptized in Biloxi, MS in the Gulf of Mexico.
His love and appreciation for his creator Jehovah, motivated his whole life. He gave his first public discourse on the day he made 18 years old in 1963. At the age of 19 he started serving as Ministry School servant(Elder) and served as a Regular Pioneer for 4 years.
On July 16, 1966 at the age of 21 Bobby married Deborah “Debbie” Ann Kennedy. They had known each other since 1954. Bobby was 9 and Debbie was 4. They grew up together in the Central New Orleans Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and were later married in that same Kingdom Hall.
He served in 6 different congregations on both sides of Lake Pontchartrain and over the years, he willingly helped in the relief work. Bobby devoted and sacrificed his life to raise his family to love and respect his God Jehovah and used his free time to teach others about the Bible and the hope it had for the future.
Bobby will always be known for his quick witted sense of humor and his smile that touched and motivated all that knew him.
His favorite scripture was 1 Timothy 6:18, 19. Although life did not always go as planned, he was convinced in his heart that the “REAL LIFE” was yet to come.
