He was so kind and generous,  loved everyone he met.  One of the easiest people to talk with.  The world lost a really great person
Bob “ Doc “ Halliday was my Good Friend. He was a kind and gentle man without a mean bone in him. He met his perfect match in Joan Haas in Colorado and it was plain they were meant to be as One I treasure all our times together and Thank God for the Blessing having been his friend.

You were such a kind and gracious person and was a joy to know you.  You will be missed Bob.
I had just moved to Vancouver. I couldn’t figure out some odd light fixtures. They didn’t seem to control anything. Bob & I were talking at Buffalo Gap. I was complaining about the random fixtures & wondering if my house was poorly wired.
Nope, Bob explained about some odd building codes in the1990s. I followed his directions. Let there be light!
Bob’s son is married to my daughter.
I’ll greatly miss Bob in my/our lives. He was such a beloved presence in the Halliday family. He was much admired. It was clear that Bob loved his life and family and did everything that he could to hang on to it. He lived robustly.      Foremost in my mind, was Bob’s unquenchable intellect and interest in everything; particularly the natural world. That intellect is evident in his fine sons. He had a remarkable memory for details. A visit with Bob would often remind me to be more curious.
I regret not being able to grow older with Bob. He was a good man. His presence through memories will forever be with us.

The type of man who makes you better, that's Doc in a nutshell.  He will be missed.

One of the nicest guys - that was Doc  lots of fun times - laughter beers - all great memories to cherish
