I met this wonderful man and his dear wife when I was just 15 years old and his son, Kenny’s, girlfriend. I think it was 1983. Both Bob and Ruth treated me like one of their own and I loved them both dearly. Bob was such a happy man and always was laughing. I have many fond memories of him. Rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss. I worked with Bob at the Fastener company in 1989 til 1992. He was an outstanding salesman and customer relations guy. He could make friends with anyone and was a ton of fun to be around. He was responsible for 60% of our sales and without him the company would not have prospered. More importantly, he cared about the people he worked with and treated everyone as family. I will never forget him. RIP Bob, you were one of the absolute best. Say hi to Ruth.’.

I remember sitting in the local restaurant at 159th & Dixie .One of the Local alderman A Dillard who I did some lock work for knew of my interest to be a policeman for Markham.I was working as a Lt.for the Ill central Railroad Police at the time. I remember upon meeting with Chief Forberg him asking me of my interest in being a Markham Policeman.I stated I was very interested. He then stated he required 2 things of me, loyalty & Honesty if I was to join his Dept.I replied you got it Chief. He then told me to take ,pass the test and he would do the rest .I did and the rest was history. A lot of what I am I owe to him for giving me the chance to work for him as a Markham Policeman
Thanks Chief You will sorely will be missed

I remain in debt to him. Bob and Ruth were forever there for us. The last couple of years to help him and be there to do things he just couldn't do anymore was a pleasure for me. The breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were a joy. I could not give back to him enough for what he had done for me for 36 years. He was a kind, generous man who thought of others first. I will miss him badly. I wake up and think to call him and ask what's up and can we do lunch. Papa you were a man's man and I love you!

My first job, MPD CLERK-DISPATCHER, he was Markham PD CHIEF.
A truly great great great man! He always had a friendly, welcoming smile.
I am so grateful I had the privilege to work under his command!

We were saddened to hear about Bob's passing. We loved Bob dearly. I have many favorite memories of Bob but the craziest one for me was celebrating what Bob declared was the actual 1st day of Spring, February 14th. He had a party, outdoors, we all ate hot dogs and drank cold beer in his yard. Froze our butts off too! Hanging out with Bob and all of our neighbors is just what we do on Indiana St. It won't be that same, he will be missed.

Beautifully written. Bob’s spirit will live on on Indiana Street for many years to come. The Fullriede’s are going to miss him so much. Our condolences to you all. 💔💔

To my cousins and family, I am so sorry for your loss of Uncle Bob in this life and believe he is reunited with his love, my aunt. He will also be joining other family to watch over all of us. He was always the fun Uncle, joking with Dorothy and I ever since we were little girls playing together. He held on to that sense of humor his whole life and I am happy that he is happy as he is embraced in God's loving arms and is at peace with all our other angels. Love you guys.

I will never forget the time I went out to dinner with my parents and Bob/Ruth to bobs and my dads favorite pizza place (Aurelios). I was in late middle school age or even freshman in high school, so the real embarrassing age time. I had to go to the bathroom and Bob the jokester he is came and announced the entire restaurant I was in there haha knocking on the door. I was mortified but now it’s a great memory I’ll always cherish. I will forever be grateful that I had Bob in my life for 32 years!
