Background
My son Robert was 33 years old when he passed away, unexpectedly on January 17, 2022. His cause of death is unknown at this time, and under investigation by the Los Angeles County Coroner
Robert had been unemployed since the start of the Corona Virus Pandemic in 2020, Laid-off by his employer, of 12 years. He has no visible benefits payable. He did not have life insurance as I think, most of us do not. He used his savings during the past year. He was single with no children. Survived by his one brother and three half sisters, with families of their own. They are trying to help me plan his Funeral and Memorial Services. I am his mother and I take responsibility for his Memorial Services. I am retired and on a fixed income, making it difficult financially. Even though he was an adult, he was my child , my youngest, forever, and naturally I take this responsibility. Most parents probably do not include their child's burial expense or final expense in their plan of raising a child. Neither did I, and I am unprepared financially, devastated by his passing, filled with grief and sorrow and at a loss for words . I want to provide a Traditional Burial, and Memorial Service for my son, Honoring his short life.
I was able to obtain the last space in his fathers family's, final resting place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Cypress, but the funeral charges and services are not included and over $12,000.00, without any Celebration of Life after party, my daughters are planning. I have little saving and my daughters with children should not take on the burden of paying their brother's final expense, so I am setting up Robert's Memorial Fund to help pay, and ease the burden of funeral expenses.. Any contribution, large or small will be sincerely appreciated. Contribute
