Robert's obituary

Robert "Roby" Allen Eastham II was born on February 17th, 1967 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Robert Allen Eastham I and Nancy Susan Eastham.

In 1978, Robert moved to Newport, Oregon and graduated from Newport High School in 1985. Around that time, he was a scuba diver at the Under Sea Gardens. From there, he moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue his dream of becoming a financial advisor where he worked for Dean Witter, Harris Financial Group, and then became an independent agent. Later in his life, he discovered he had a passion for wood working. He spent years crafting beautiful furniture out of red alder which he would gift to his family or sell at farmers markets and holiday bazaars. Most recently, Robert worked as a Service Technician for Sawstop.

He was married to Jamie Eastham from 1997-2004. Their daughter, Madison Eastham, was born in 2000.

Robert passed away at his home on August 2nd, 2020 in Sherwood, Oregon at the age of 53.

Robert had a great sense of humor, he loved to joke around and play pranks, especially with his brother. He was an extremely generous man, known to buy out the entire stock of girl scout cookies, and a guy who would always help a friend out. When July came around, he was always ready to throw on some boots and hit every rodeo in town. If you took him to Seaside when the bumper cars were in season, he'd ride those things over and over. When he was younger, he would drive his Isuzu Rodeo around blasting country music or the song "How Bizarre" by OMC. Robert was full of knowledge and an intelligent man who somehow managed to be good at just about everything he did. He had a niche for computers and could build one from scratch. He was also an outstanding cook who loved to show off his cooking skills by cooking for friends and family. He made an unforgettable salsa. Some of his favorite foods were black olive and linguica pizza from Abby's Legendary Pizza as well the pork quesadillas and chile rellenos from Los Baez, a Mexican restaurant he and his father loved. Overall, Robert is described as smart, bold, creative, fun, talented, caring, and polite. He will forever be missed.

A celebration of life will be held in Spring of 2024. More details to come. Please reach out to his daughter Madison on Facebook or via email at patisone2000@gmail.com if interested in attending.
