To Bob’s family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Bob was one of my first mentors when I was a recent grad hire at Unisys, in the PI department during the early 00’s.

I remember how excited Bob was to go off to Australia on the next adventure phase of his life with his wife, whom he was absolutely over the moon crazy about. I vaguely recall him telling me that he was planning to be a bus driver there, which I thought was an amusing departure from technical writing. He was so giddy about it.

I randomly just thought of him and decided to google him tonight, and though I’m sad to know of his passing four years ago, it’s sweet to see that his love for Katie saw him through the last two decades of his life. I hope you both had many grand adventures together. And even if he never did drive that bus, I’ll imagine he’s in the next life driving around all of the fur babies mentioned in all of your posts.

Sincerely,

Clarisse Q.

For those who know where that one and only donation came from, notice the date. Five days after I became a widow. Thank you for caring, and loving, and being their for Bob, Anonnymous donor. Glad he had ONE always there for him, streadfast no matter what, person who cared.
In response to "What always reminds you of Robert?"
Today Bob would be turning 73. Although no one who met or knew him would believe he was more than half that age. Which makes his loss even harder.

How could someone so fit, so youthful, so full of life ..... be gone?

I wish I did not feel this intense sadness. Bob, I know, is looking down from Heaven and saying "Stop crying! Go buy a nice meal and celebrate being an awesome Mum! I'm happy and healthy and ALWAYS with you .... love you MORE! xxxx"

I'm trying sweetheart. I am. Today being Mother's Day as well .... as they say on Facebook and in the Movies .... it's complicated.

I love you so much and I think of you almost every minute of every single day. You are in my heart, and I know you are having an amazing birthday in Heaven with all the other people and fur babies there with you.

Happy Birthday, my darling Pookie. With love, hugs (how I miss your hugs!), and lots of kisses. Your Katie xxxxxxx
