Robert's obituary
Robert Anthony DiNapoli, age 75, passed away on November 27 after a brief battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Martina DiNapoli Dahill and Neill Dahill of Hingham, MA.
Robert was born an only child in Dorchester, MA, and raised in Quincy, MA where he attended Boston College High School. He went on to the College of the Holy Cross and ultimately received his associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from Northeastern University. Robert spent most of his life living in Medfield, MA raising his daughter with his beloved wife, Janet (née Cook) DiNapoli, who predeceased him. He had a passion for the art of medicine and loved teaching medical students and residents over the span of a 40-year career. He also had a love of literature and music, having performed in several bands and briefly operating the Gates of Dawn Coffee House with his wife in Medfield, MA in the 1980s. Lastly, he had a love for animals, in particular, his and Janet’s many rescued cats.
No services will take place, as Robert requested, but he has thoughtfully donated his remains to Tufts Medical School Anatomical Gift Program to continue his legacy of medical education. Contributions in memory of Robert can be made to Alley Cat Allies (https://www.alleycat.org/more…) We do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
