Robert “Bob” Cruz, Jr., of Leoma, Tennessee, died peacefully at home on October 17, 2022, at the age of 84 years. Bob was born June 18, 1938, in the Bronx, New York, but lived most of his life in Texas and Florida. Activities and hobbies he enjoyed include boating, flying, riding motorcycles, RVing, woodworking, sightseeing, volunteer work with Florida’s Broward County Sheriff’s Office, and playing with his dogs.

An adventurer at heart, Bob loved visiting and seeing sites and areas around the country. He was a talented craftsman, particularly with woodworking and electronics. Very inquisitive, he had a thirst for knowledge and never stopped learning. Most of all, he had a deep and abiding love for his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Francesca Cruz. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; five children: Yvonne Cruz of Ocala, FL, Diana Cruz (Joe Gomez) of Houston, TX, Robert L. Cruz of Coral Springs, FL, Cary Powell (Jill) of Columbia, TN, and Cayce Powell (Patrice) of Brentwood, TN; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for 1pm on October 22, 2022, at Central Christian Church in Columbia, Tennessee. A brief Memorial Service will follow immediately at 1:30pm.

In addition, there will be a Celebration of Life service in Orlando, Florida, on November 5, 2022, at 2pm.
