I met Robert in 1978, when I was a sophomore and he was a senior. We started dating and then we broke up, for several reasons. We'd gotten back together off and on for years but we could never really get it together.

I did care for Robert and thought of him often but we had our problems.

I will always think of him. He was my first love.
