Robert Joseph Cowan, 63, of Gretna, VA passed away on August 2nd, 2020. Robert was born in Margaretville, NY on April 3rd, 1957 to the late Ralph Cowan, and to Janet Cowan who survives. He is also survived by his brother, Everett "Butch" Cowan, his daughter, Rena Sukut (Matt), his daughter, Carrie Odgers (Bilal), two grandsons, four granddaughters, a niece, a nephew, and a lot of close friends who all loved him very much. Robert was a 1976 graduate of Margaretville High School in Margaretville, NY and a 1994 graduate of ECPI in Charlotte, NC. He was most recently employed with Cook & Son Farms and he loved to fix anything broken that he could get his hands on. He loved being outdoors and was a great friend to everyone that knew him. His jokes and laugh will forever be missed.
A private memorial will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020.
