Background
I've made this fundraiser to help my mother bury the love of her life after 22 years together, Robert Corcoran. As anyone could imagine she is absolutely beside herself with grief. Robert was an amazing man, spouse, stepfather(dad), and especially "poppop" to my 15 yr old daughter Destiny. Robert served this country as a Marine in the Vietnam war and afterwards became a U.S. postal worker until he retired . He worked hard to provide for our family. Which is why it saddens me so deeply that we don't have the means needed to give him a proper goodbye at this time. While the Marine corps helps with the cemetery and giving him the full honors that he deserves, we still need to cover the rest of the services( viewing, cremation, flowers, mass cards, ect). Unfortunately the cost of all of these things is very high and not affordable on a fixed income from ssd. My mother's health is not well to say the least and between her being so overwhelmed with grief and how to possibly afford everything, she is struggling to keep it together and I'm hoping to lighten that load. At least the financial part. Ultimately removing some of the burden and worry from her at this terrible time. Robert was a genuinely a good person with a kind hearted soul. he was loving, patient, n kind. Always helping everyone in need around him. After serving our country and being a man that is an inspiration and truly someone I'm so lucky to have had as a role model, I can't imagine not being able to give him the last farewell that he's so deserving of. Therefore I am asking with a heavy heart for you to help make that happen and give my mother a chance to grieve properly without the extra worry and stress in the process. Anything helps and will be extremely appreciated. Words can't describe how grateful my family will be to have your support. Thank you so much. May you be blessed.
