I thought Carlo was one of the sweetest, smartest men I have met. A true gentleman!!
Carlo Coppo was my dear frien…
Carlo Coppo was my dear friend (and boss) for more than 50 years. He was the smartest, funniest and kindest human being I've ever known. Rest well dear Carlo. You will be missed.

My condolences goes out to Carlo's entire family! He touched so many lives in our Medical Staff world but most of all he kept us laughing and intrigued with his stories and adventures! He donated so much time to CAMSS and have provided endless hours of education and mentoring to so many of us! He will be forever missed but he will never leave our hearts as there will always be a special place for him! We loved him dearly! Keep everyone laughing in heaven Carlo, until we meet again my dear friend.
Gadzooks!! Here’s Carlo havin…

Gadzooks!! Here’s Carlo having a little fun with a waiter at a small family owned restaurant . He had an infectious smile. With Carlo you could start the evening off as strangers but leave life long friends.

A memory - as a kid he was known as Bobby Coppo to his aunts, uncles and cousins on his mother's side of the family. I remember our family visiting the Coppos at their home on the slope of Mt. Rubidoux in Riverside and Carlo in Levi's, a white T shirt, white socks and loafer shoes - typical 1950's “cool” teenager. Later, when he was off to college, I spotted a beautiful 57 Chevy Bel Air on a consignment lot in Ontario. Long story short, I checked it out, found out Carlo was the seller, and I bought it! My car before that, my first one, was his dad's 1947 Chevrolet Business Coupe. We grew up, had our own families and lives and little contact until 2005 when I decided to try to convene a reunion of the (Leaman) cousins. It happened in Upland, where our Leaman family roots go back to about 1900 (Leaman was his mother’s maiden name). That is when I learned that he now used the name of Carlo. We kept in touch since then and enjoyed swapping tales about the old citrus days and smudging in cold weather to protect the groves from frost damage. I had never heard of Wineville, so he educated me on that. Times long gone . There were once 16 Leaman cousins, now there are but 5 of us left - - - -

Of all Carlo's brilliant contributions to this world, his family was the summit. Sending love, comfort and healing. Knowing Carlo for these past 40 years, working and creating with him, brainstorming over martinis at Il Fornaio: all pure joy. He made an incredible difference. A true renaissance man and irreplaceable, galactic spirit. The photo I posted with Carlo among some well known superheroes was in the power point of a webinar we did together. Fly free surrounded by infinite love, my friend. Miss you always, forget you never.
