Robert's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Conners. Robert was born on August 3, 1943, and gracefully departed this world on April 6, 2025. A man of courage, love, and kindness, Robert touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Conners, their daughter, Kelli Hunter, and their grandchildren, Haleigh Pratto, Madisen Pratto, and Patrick Hunter. He was predeceased by their cherished daughter, Leigh Conners.

Robert's life was marked by his dedication to service. In 1966, he joined the army, a testament to his bravery and commitment to his country. He was discharged honorably in 1968, after which he began his long and commendable career at the Houston Fire Department on August 23, 1969. He served his community with unwavering dedication until his retirement in 2007.

Robert was a man of noble character, known for his kindness, caring nature, and thoughtfulness. He continually encouraged others to do right by one another, a lesson many of us will carry in our hearts. His legacy is one of warmth and generosity, of always caring for others, a legacy that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service in honor of Robert's life will be held at the Houston National Cemetery on April 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM. As we gather to remember him, we celebrate the life of a revered father, grandfather, husband, and firefighter. Forever in our hearts, he will be truly missed.
