Robert Charles Wells was born to the late Rube Cleo Wells who had a career as a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force, and Onie Thelma Warren Wells, a devoted housewife, and Mom. He came to Christ at a very early age and his hope was firmly in Jesus Christ alone. Robert's constant hope was in grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, scripture alone, and the glory of God alone.

Robert was a talented portrait artist who was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson's shortly after marriage to Anna Kathleen "Kathie" Wells He was preceded in death by his parents and some of his cousins, and leaves behind his wife, Kathie, and his children Luke and Mariah Wells, as well as his siblings Charlotte Price Wells and Robin, Warren Wells,  Clint Wells and Laura, Donna DeSpain and John, Holly Trojcak and Mike, and Susan Hammers and Wayne. He also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends,
