Robert "Rob" John Bowling  

November 4, 1979 – August 30, 2025  

Robert “Rob” John Bowling, 45, of Terrytown, Louisiana, went home to the Lord on August 30, 2025, surrounded by love in the comfort of his home. Born on November 4, 1979, in Georgia, Rob lived a life full of kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.  

A loving husband, Rob shared a beautiful life with his wife, Shauntel Bowling. Their bond was rooted in laughter, friendship, and deep affection — a love that stood strong through every season of life. Rob was also a proud father to his daughter Katherine, and a proud dog dad to his loyal companion, Dexter.  

Rob was the beloved son of Catherine Russo (Rodger) and the late Bobby E. Bowling. He was a cherished brother to Alicia Turner (Chip) and Jenifer Henton (BJ). A treasured uncle to Noelle, Michael, Jason, Ronnie, Christian, Zachary, Maddie, Jack, Barrett, Aidan, Declan, and Cullen. He was also a dearly loved son-in-law to Skip and Laurie Flores.  

Kind-hearted and generous, Rob had a natural gift for helping others. Whether offering a listening ear, lending a hand, or simply being present, he made a quiet but powerful impact on the lives around him. He had a passion for collecting video games and spent countless hours enjoying them with his best bud, finding joy in the simple things that brought people together.  

Above all, Rob’s favorite moments were those spent with his beautiful wife and their fur baby, Dexter. The love they shared was a guiding light in his life — constant, true, and filled with grace.  

Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew him and forever remembered for his gentle spirit, his humor, and the love he so freely gave.
