Bob's obituary
Robert "Bob" Rymer, 78, of Menomonee Falls, WI, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Panama City Beach, Florida, with his wife Kay by his side.
Bob was a loving husband and father, dedicated coach and teacher, who touched the lives of so many around him. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially track and field, cheering on the Packers and Badgers and golfing. He could also regularly be seen biking around town. Bob and Kay lived in Menomonee Falls for over 50 years, surrounded by so many friends. He enjoyed spending summers "up north,” captaining his pontoon boat and winters enjoying the warmth and a little golf in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Bob was born on October 15, 1946, in Marinette, Wisconsin. After graduating from Green Bay Preble High School in 1964, he went on to study Education at Carroll College (now University) in Waukesha, WI. Bob met Kay at Carroll College, and they were married over Christmas break in 1971. Bob was a math teacher in the Menomonee Falls Schools system for 35 years, touching so many lives. His true passion was coaching and he was the head cross country coach, coaching multiple team and individual state champions.
Bob was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean and Pat, and one brother, Wayne. Bob is survived by his wife Kay, daughter Amy (Josh) Bartels, son Jason (Catherine) Rymer, sisters Lois Manders, Sue (Curt) Rentmeester, and brother Allen (Lynette) Rymer.
Visitation will held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Town Hall Road in Menomonee Falls on March 29th from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM followed directly by a memorial service starting at 3:30 PM. A light meal will be served after the service. The service will be recorded and available to view on the church website.
