Robert's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Boomer" Besch, who left us unexpectedly on February 8, 2024. Born on September 27, 1964, Robert was a beacon of happiness in the lives of those who knew him.
His presence was marked by an ever-permanent smile and the priceless gift of inducing laughter in others. His happiness made him a joy to be around and his memory will undoubtedly continue to bring smiles to those who knew him thru his memories. Robert spent much of his time surrounded by his close family and many friends. He loved sports, hunting, enjoyed traveling, collecting turtles, and meeting his friends out for a drink.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rose Besch and nephew Timothy Besch. He is survived by his siblings, Roy (Kathy) Besch, Irene Besch, Rich Besch, Susan (Russell) Wagner, and Sharon (Jeff Hardy) Besch; Nephews, Tony (Amanda) Besch, Matthew (Liz Enders) Besch, Steve (Kristy) Wagner, and Jason (Christine Kasprzak) Smith and their children, his best friend and cousin, Danny (Denise) Gehrke, who cherished him dearly. His loss will be deeply felt by his many nephews and nieces along with the countless friend whose lives were brightened by his infectious spirit.
To honor Robert's life and memory, a visitation will take place on February 19, 2024 at Peace of Mind Funeral and Cremation Services at 3:00 PM. A small funeral service will be held at the same location following the visitation at 6:00 PM. We invite all who knew Robert to come together during this time, celebrating the joy he spread and the happiness he added to our lives.
In memory of Robert, may we all carry a piece of his contagious joy in our hearts, making the world a little bit brighter, just as he did in his lifetime.
