Robert's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert 'Bob' Wood on November 8, 2024. Born on March 27, 1955, Bob lived a fulfilling life characterized by his lighthearted and fun-loving personality.
Bob graduated from Yukon High School in 1973 and began a life filled with simple pleasures. He had a fondness for Mexican food, and enjoyed watching Western TV shows like Walker, Texas Ranger and The Rifleman. Bob was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners football team and loved watching them on TV.
When he wasn't cheering on his favorite team, Bob could often be found fishing or boating with his family, activities that he greatly took pleasure in. Lake Murray was a favored vacation spot of his, reflecting his love for water and watersports. Closer to home, The Farm held a special place in Bob's heart as one of his favorite spots to go camping and fishing. He often would eat at one of his favorite restaurants in Yukon called Poquito de Mexico.
Bob's family was fundamental to his happiness. He loved his kids, Brad and Lesley and his granddaughter, Jade, with an unwavering and unconditional love. A pet lover at heart, Bob also adored his two Rottweilers, Alex and Samantha, who brought him great companionship and joy.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Juanita Edgmon and Leonard Wood, as well as his brother, Steve Wood. Bob will be deeply missed by his daughter, Lesley, his stepson, Brad and adored granddaughter, Jade, along with other family and friends who have been blessed to know him.
In honoring Bob's life, we remember a man of humor, warmth, and unending love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those he touched. May he rest in peace.
