Robert (Rob) David Affholter born on August 13th, 1941 was released into the arms of our Father in Heaven on May 21, 2018. Rob is survived by his loving wife Merlita, Son Marvin and daughter in law Yuri Belanio, daughter Maxine and son in law Dustin Jose, his grandchildren Jaret, Mckaela, Darion, Devin, and Kiana, sibling Sue, Kathleen, Micky, and Patrick, along with nephews and nieces, and bestfriend, Wall-e.

Rob served in the Army as a Sergeant from 1969-1972. He worked and retired as a Computer Programmer at the Veterans Hospital for 28 years. It was there that he met his beautiful wife, Merlita. Rob and Merlita were married for 18 years, spending their time together camping, traveling along the coast, and serving in their community church. Rob was an incredible landscape photographer, exhibiting his artwork throughout the Pacific Northwest, donating several of his pieces to Avalon Care Center.

Rob was known as a soft spoken and generous, Man of God. Rob and Merlita openly welcomed different families into their lives as extended children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of beauty that will carry on within his artwork. With each piece encompasses a moment in his eyes which will live on for many years to come.

Memorial service will be held on June 9, 2018 at 10:00am at the Federal Way Church of Nazerene. Service will be officiated by Pastor Shawn deOrnellis.
