We regretfully announce the passing of Robbie Swopshire, who left this world on August 3, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1967 In Saint Louis Mo , to proud parents Sarah and Brezell Swopshire.
Robbie was the beloved sister of Rhonda Davis. She was a loving mother to her son, Leland Howard. She leaves behind a family that loved her deeply but is consoled by countless memories of joy and laughter. She was predeceased by her cousin Johnnie Parker and her pets Reese and Oreo with whom she shared a strong bond.
Robbie was a proud alumni of University City High School, where she graduated in 1985. In 1990, she embraced motherhood with the birth of her son, Leland. She was not only a devoted mother but also an ambitious professional, starting a rewarding career at US Tape and Label in 2000.
Robbie had an insatiable love for life, expressed through her love of Soul Food, BBQ, and the enjoyment of a good glass of ice-cold Miller Lite. Music was an integral part of her life, with Johnnie Taylor's 'Last Two Dollars' being one of her favorite tunes. Not one to shy away from a friendly competition, Robbie enjoyed the strategic game of Spades.
In her free time, Robbie loved cooking and hanging out with her friends. An admirer of detective stories, she was an avid watcher of 'Columbo'. One of her all-time favorite films was 'The Color Purple,' a classic that reflected her love for storytelling. The 'Boozed Cruise' was her favorite vacation spot, where she enjoyed the company of friends and the thrill of the open sea.
Robbie will be remembered as a sweet, caring, loving, funny, and happy person. Her greatest accomplishment was the freedom she found in traveling across the country with her friends. Her kindness and bubbly personality are the legacy she leaves behind. Robbie's motto in life was "I'm a no limit Soldier. I thought I told you," a phrase that spoke volumes about her zest for life and her indomitable spirit.
Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but the love and happiness she brought us will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, Robbie. Your spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
