Rita Joan Gore of Concord, California, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the age of 81.

After battling multiple health issues over many years, she died peacefully with her beloved husband and daughters by her side.

Rita was born on December 22, 1940 in Bakersfield, California, to father Doyle Hester and mother Agnes Hester. She attended Mt. Diablo High School and graduated in 1958. After graduation, she attended Diablo Valley College and Bethany Bible College. 

 She worked for J.C. Penneys, a local plumbing shop, and a travel agency before opening her own day care center in her home which she operated for over 25 years. 

Rita enjoyed vacations in Hawaii, telling stories of her past, watching westerns and Judge Judy, and shopping online. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and making everlasting memories with them.

Rita is survived by her husband of 58 years, Earl Gore, her daughters, Terri Ramirez (Guy Ramirez), Kathy Simeone (Tony Simeone) and her grandchildren, Brandon Ramirez (Makayla Ramirez),Austin Ramirez, Brianna Simeone, Isabella Simeone and Antonio Simeone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Hester and Agnes Hester.
