Reg,. Your journey has come to an end, It's hard to say goodbye. I know that as your little sister I drove you nuts, but you were always there when I needed you. Thank you for being my big brother.

I first met Reggie in 1956. We were in the 6th grade. Regs' family moved to Chico from Arkansas. He came to school in blue overalls and a t-shirt. With the bib overalls and the accent from Arkansas . . . the "over yonder", "ya all", and talking about "grits"! What the heck are grits we all wondered? Kids at that age can be mean, and some of the boys picked on Reggie because he was so different. I probably picked on him myself but it didn't take long for me to stand with Reg and push back! It didn't take long with his being different and he became just another kid. We became friends that school year and our friendship endured school years up until we graduated Chico High School in 1962. After High School our friendship continued up to his passing. I visited him in the last year as often as I could. His memory will be with me forever. His memorial service was difficult. Go with God Reggie!!

I must tell the events surrounding Reggies being "AWOL" from the US Airfare! Reg was on leave at home in Chico and I lived in Modesto, CA. I drove to Chico and picked up Reg and went back to Modesto. There I had a ski boat in partners with a good friend. We loaded up the boat and "drinks" and headed for the lake. During the day Reg got so sunburned that he looked like a lobster. At days end (and lots of "drinks") we decided to call it a day. Reg got in the care (a 1958 Chevy convertible) to back the trailer up to load the boat. Larry was bringing the boat up to the dock and I was guiding reg back down the boat ramp. As Reg got closer and closer . . . and closer, I yelled several times to stop but he just kept coming! Yikes!!!! The entire back seat of the chevy was in the water!!!! Reg finally stopped the care and we loaded the boat! As a result of too much sun, Reggies feet on the top were so sunburned he couldn't wear shoes! Of course the US Airforce did not think it was as funny as we did! Reg was not able to wear his regulation boots issued by the Airfare and he later told me he was considered AWOL. It did not prove to be a problem with his Airforce career and he got it straightened out. I can tell you, we all had a good laugh about the entire episode!
There were a lot of good times during high school that I will remember forever! I am fortunate that I could share many of those times with Reg. He will be missed by me! Go with God Reggie.

We are so sorry Reg is no longer here with us but we rejoice he is with his Heavenly Father. When we first met Reg he was very sweet to our children. After Jennifer married Ricky he became Grandpa Reg to my children. He loved it when they came to visit him. He would listen to their stories and tell some of his own. We will miss him very much.

I met Reg by misbehaving. LoL I was nearly 30 years younger and way dumber. What started out as an interesting meeting eventually turned into a really good friendship. Reg was a "go to" person in my life. I could talk to him about my walk in faith, marriage, kids, and just shoot the breeze if it were. After moving from Chico and returning for a visit he was always one to greet us with love. Reg will be missed for sure. When I first hear of his passing the old Ray Boltz song popped in my head, "Thank You". We never really know the impact we have on people and their life. I'm certain when Reg opened his eyes in Heaven there was a long line of people waiting to greet him. I know for me he has touched and influenced my life.
