It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ricky "PawPaw" Jones, known to many simply as Ricky. Born in 1953, Ricky departed from this life on November 25, 2023. A man of honesty and genuine character, he left a lasting impact on those fortunate to cross his path.

Ricky is survived by his devoted son, Donald Jones, and his cherished grandson, Cyrus Williamson. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Irma Jones. Each of them held a special place in Ricky's heart, and they will continue to carry his memory forward.

Known for his love of literature, Ricky had a particular fondness for books by Tom Clancy. The suspense and thrill of these novels mirrored his own adventurous spirit. He was also an avid follower of college football, frequently watching games and rooting for his favorite teams.

Ricky enjoyed simple pleasures in life. Often found working in the yard or sitting on his front porch, he had an affinity for the outdoors and cherished the moments spent in the tranquility of nature. His favorite local haunt was Boston’s Sandwich Shop, a place where he could savor good food and good company.

While Ricky had a great love for his hometown, he also had a heart for travel. A retired truck driver, the beach was his favorite vacation spot, a place of peace and serenity where he could breathe in the ocean air and bask under the warm sun.

It is difficult to encapsulate Ricky's personality in a few words. His genuine and honest character was evident to all who knew him. 

 He will be dearly missed by his family. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the life he lived and the priceless memories he has left us.
