Ricky's obituary
Ricky Haus, born on March 7, 1957, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on August 4, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan.
Ricky was a dedicated printing press operator by trade, where he spent his days ensuring precision and quality in his work. Outside of his career, he found joy in a variety of pursuits. An avid NASCAR enthusiast, Ricky could often be found cheering with his friends, enjoying a Sunday race from the comfort of his home. His hobbies also included coin collecting and fishing, where he found tranquility and solace.
Ricky was a true lover of the outdoors, always ready for an adventure and loved a peaceful afternoon on the water. He also had a passion for canning, preserving the bounty of every harvest season with care. Beyond his personal interests, Ricky was a devoted hockey and softball coach, sharing his love for the sports with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Haus; his mother, Ruth Haus; his brother, Gary Haus; and his grandparents, Henry and Letta Roberts and survived by half sister Dolores Hickey.
Ricky leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter Danielle and her husband Chad; his daughter Denise and her husband David; his stepdaughter Andrea and her husband Hargis; and his stepdaughter Sarah and Josh. He was a proud grandfather to Chase and Natalie, and step-grandfather to Will, Robert, Quintin, Jasper, Luther, William and Kathryn. And proud Uncle to Laura and Elizabeth.
A celebration of life will be held in August 2025 to honor and remember Ricky's vibrant spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy of laughter, and his love for skittles will be deeply missed.
