Rickey's obituary

>Rickey Anderson, 62, of Lakeway, TX, peacefully passed away on March 02, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Glioblastoma.


>Rickey was born on December 14, 1962 to Glenda Brundage and Don Anderson in the bustling city of Dallas. After Rickey graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1981, he pursued a BBA Degree in Management Information Systems at University of Texas at Arlington.  After graduation, he worked for Atlantic Richfield Oil & Gas Company for over 9 years. Rickey changed careers in 1995. In the water treatment business he excelled in sales  with Glegg Water Conditioning, Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC, and Chemtreat. Rickey loved what he did for a living. In 1986, he met Carey Anderson briefly on a ski slope and then again in Dallas 4 years later. Rickey & Carey went on to marry in 1994 and have two children, Austin Anderson and Conner Anderson. Rickey retired in 2020 after 25 years in the field. While retired, Rickey had time to pursue his love of being a sports fan of The Dallas Mavericks, Texas Longhorns, and the Dallas Cowboys. Rickey was predeceased by grandmother Iris Gregory, and grandfather John Russell Anderson. He is survived by his wife, sons Austin and Conner, mother Glenda Brundage, father Don Anderson, brothers Scott Carver (Lisa), Jason Anderson (Holly), sister Christi McKnight(Keith), and 7 nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held at Anamia's Tex Mex 1900 Long Prairie Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022 on March 29th 2:00-5:00.
