Rick's obituary
Rick Lee Willmott, 70, of Lahaina, Hawaii, passed away April 12, 2026. He was born March 24, 1956, in Brighton, Colorado, to Kenneth and Norma Willmott.
Rick was a man who worked with his hands throughout his life. In Colorado he worked as a plumber and truck driver before finding his way to the shores of Maui, where he made Lahaina his home. There he became a familiar face — baking at The Bakery in the Old Lahaina Industrial area, working night security at Lahaina Gateway, and lending his handyman skills across the community for years. He could do anything, and people knew it. He had a love for John Wayne and the spirit of the American West that never left him. Despite the miles and the years, family remained close to his heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Bridget Aesoph; his brothers, Randy Willmott and wife Michelle, and Craig Willmott and wife Tanya; his sister, Kathy Dellenbach and husband Kevin; his nephews, Matt Johnson and Joey Willmott; his niece, Jenn MacArthur; and his dear friend Jonichironi, who stood by his side in Lahaina.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Willmott; his father, Kenneth Willmott; and his niece, Courtney Ritchie.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. Updates will be shared when available.
